Losing pressure in your shower? water spraying everywhere? it could be due to clogged nozzles! there are a few simple ways to help restore your shower to peak condition.

rub the nozzles

most shower heads have flexible rubber nozzles. gently rub or scrub the nozzles to loosen mineral buildup. a finger or a toothbrush works great for this.

soak the showerhead

you can take the shower head off and submerge it in vinegar, but why go through the trouble when you can just take a baggie, fill it with white vinegar, and wrap it around the shower head IN PLACE! a rubber band or tape around the shower stem will help keep it in place. Leave the bag on for a few hours and then run the water to rinse out the vinegar.

change the filter

some shower heads have a small mesh filter, usually located between the stem and the head. check the manufacturers manual (usually available online) for specific instructions. usually, you can push it out with tweezers, give it a rinse and put it back in!
